Just received word that Madhur Tiwary of Tiwary Bechar, Jamshedpur XL '71 Passed away in his sleep in his hotel room in Calcutta yesterday morning.In all probability the corpse will be brought to Jamshedpur tomorrow for the cremation.
May his soul rest in peace

Deep Condolences : Preeti Vinayak (2001)
It seems that Preeti Vinayak of the 2001 batch just passed away a couple of days ago from a prolonged illness.

Sad Demise - Jasmit Singh - 76 batch
Received this mail from Arun (a batchmate of Jasmit's)
it is my sad responsibility to share an equally sad piece of news with all concerned ----- jassy aka jasmit singh is no more ------ he succumbed to a heart attack and passed away on 04 / 10 / 2008 at Delhi -------
i am sure all of us who knew him well will miss his reassuring presence at delhi + his --- " i am ready to help you right now " -------- response at all times ------ ----------------------------------------------------------------- the cremation is this evening .
i am sure most will join me in offering deepest condolences to his family ----- and bidding him a heavy heart farewell

Obituary : Mrs Evelyn Vanjour
Prof Vanjour (Dean in 98) died a few years ago of cancer. His wife Mrs Evelyn Vanjour just died yesterday, also from cancer.
Franklin is their only child. He was just entering high school when we were on campus (97-99). He currently works with Infosys. Franklin can be contacted at fvanjour[@]gmail[.]com

Just got a call from Franklin informing me that his mother Evelyn Vanjour, wife of Late Prof. Mike Vanjour, passed away peacefully in her sleep this morning at 0530AM, at Karunashraya.
May her soul rest in peace.
The funeral details will be announced shortly.

The funeral service for late Mrs Evelyn Vanjour will be held at Infant Jesus Church, Viveknagar,Bangalore, at 0930hrs. On 12th April, followed by internment at Hosur Road Cemetry.
For those who cannot make it to the church, the hearse should reach Hosur Road European Cemetry by about 1020to 1030hours.
Earlier today there was a prayer service conducted for the repose of the soul of Evelyn at XLRI, Jamshedpur.
The XL Bangalore chapter had arranged for a floral tribute earlier today.

Mihir Bose (74batch)... RIP
Just a little while ago, I got the sad news that Mihir Bose (PM & IR 1974) passed away at about 6 pm today. Mihir had been suffering from cancer for a while.
Let us all pray for that he finds lasting peace hereafter.

Eva (Mody) Nambiar 77PMIR - RIP
Ms.Eva Nambiar, PMIR 1977, wife of Gopi Nambiar(Seagrams, ex-Pepsi) passed away on the 13th of August 2007, after a struggle with cancer since the last few years. She was with Personnel Search Services in Delhi.
Mr. P. C. Mehra of the Delhi Alumni chapter writes "I had an opportunity to meet her during one of the Alumni Meets and she came across a warm human being, full of energy and enthusiasm. On her passing away we have lost an involved alumnus.

Sad Demise of Mr. VP Sinha 80PMIR Tata Steel
I just came to know about this... and am sad to inform that Viren P Sinha (80PMIR) expired yesterday after prolonged illness.
His cremation is today
May his family have to courage and equanimity to bear this loss
